Abstract
Umm al-kitab a mystical-didactic oriented book by Ahmad Rumi and was written in 1326A.D. (727A.H.). There was only a unique manuscript of this book keeping in B.N.F with the document number R 25480. Ahmad Rumi was a Hanafi Muslim and following Mowlana's mystical ideas. He used to be a developer of Mowlavie's sect in India and one of the first Annotators of Mowlana's books in 14th Century. In this book Rumi has detailed some Qur'an's verses, prophet’s Hadith, Sufism elder's speech and Sunni Imams. He also has written anecdotes in harmonious poet form following Masnavi's form to describe the gist of foregoing issues. the genre of named book is called Arbaeen-Nevisi (which means to write forty topics and explain them) to Annotate Masnavi and Sonnets of Mowlana. the remarkable feature of Umm al-kitab is its simple prose and following Mowlana and his son's -Soltan valad- style. using Arabic syntax and inflexion in Umm al-kitab is not to make its text complicated, but rather is impressed by other mystical books in the same way.
